Steps
Individual Courses at IUSM-NW are referred to as Steps. There are five Steps in the first year and two in the second year. These are depicted in the curriculum map and are listed below.
Each Step has its' own individual Angel Site where course information is posted. Also many of the Steps have produce voice over powerpoint MP4 files and load onto individual Oncourse Sites for downloading.
Step 1 The Molecular Basis of Medicine (6 weeks: Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Cell Biology) Day by Day Schedule

Step 7 Pathophysiology and Advanced Problem Solving (27 weeks: Unit 1- Cardiology, Pulmonary, and Renal; Unit 2 - Gastroenterology, Endrocrinology and Hematology/Oncology; Unit 3 - Obstetrics/Gynecology, Medical Genetics and Pediatrics; Unit 4 - Psychiatry, Neurology and Rheumatology; Special Unit - Geriatrics.
