Husband and Wife Research Team Make the News

Scientists: Finding could help HIV/AIDS patients
HIV/AIDS -- Infection-fighting proteins discovered by husband, wife team at IUN

A husband-and-wife medical research team in the region believes to have found a possible treatment for HIV/AIDS patients -- and it exists within the human body itself.

Earlier this year, the Indiana University School of Medicine Northwest in Gary announced researchers had discovered proteins secreted in the human body that naturally fight off bacteria and infection.
